Nobody over the age of 70 seems to know the medical term "hiatal hernia". It usually morphs into something like "hi-hernia" or "hile-hernia", and it's easy to figure out what is meant.
Today, my patient had a "high heel hernia".
I wonder if she got those from Zappos?

And do they come in different colors? with purses to match?
I had a lady the other day who mispronounced phlegm as "fleem." And in my 20 minutes with her, she used that word about 20 times. It was all I could do to keep calm - wanted to 1) Laugh or 2) Scream at her.
