Things

Things I've learned (or relearned) in the last few weeks:

Sunlight helps.

As much as I would like to be an athlete, I'm not.

I get a small high if I take Excedrin and drink a cup of coffee before 7 am.

Crying about Henry, in small controlled bits and regularly, is good for me.

My girls are growing up, so fast.

My husband is fabulous.

Cute shoes help too, probably more than they should.

I'm doing much better this week. I'm not sure why, but this week I can remember him and cry happy tears, which has been really nice.

Still thinking of you and your family and good to hear from you. Still sending little prayers up for you all.

Of course cute shoes help.

Recent acquisitions:

1) 70s-style all-white Rod Laver sneakers ("You need a specialist, Mrs. Pragmaticmom - I never touch cases of this complexity")

2) 60s pigskin suede, rubber-toe in cobalt and black with a white outsole - "I'm sorry, Eric, there's just not any healthy liver left".

3) 1981 reissue Asics/Onitsuka Tiger running shoe reissues in green, yellow and chartreuse - "These are called Cheyne-Stokes respirations. It's not unexpected."

Bad news goes down easier with new shoes. I'm thinking of you.

Dr Smak, so happy to hear that you had a good week.

Eric, I've missed "seeing" you around. Take care.

Eric,
I too have missed you and your always clever comments.
Your shoes sound better than mine, paprika colored canvas keds with 2 inch heels. I'll have to keep trying.
Hope you're well.

I knew in time all those moments of flights of happiness would find you. Remembering the smiles and laughter help heal the sorrow. Glad to hear you're doing better hon. (Hugs)Indigo

Sunlight helps.Ha. Perfect time of year for that.

Lots of things are reborn this time of year by the power of sunlight and the changing season. And a few 'happy tears'.

Fun post.

New shoes, wonderful family, and the arrival of spring sunshine--I'm so glad that these help. So glad.

Thinking of you often, though we've never met.

Looks you are travelling the road well, and slowly heading in the right direction. Keeping you in thoughts from a distance.

Ha...I'm not sure if I agree with the self deprecating athleticism remark. However, I do remember my dad taking all the cousins for a hike one time when we were really little and you tripped on every root in the path!

Shoes always help everything, right?

Excedrin makes me all shaky. Sometimes in a good way, sometimes bad. I don't think I have ever dared to take it with coffee though.
